I’m heavily burdened at how quiet the American church has become against the level of wickedness that is rising up in our culture, communities, and in our country.

Jesus prepared us for this time dear brothers and sisters through His word. We should not be surprised at what we are seeing. However, the biggest surprise to me, is how quiet Christians are about the evil that is increasing.

Let’s take a look at how Paul handles a wicked spirit.

Acts 16:16-18 tells us what happened, how and why Paul rebuked this person:

“Now it happened, as we went to prayer, that a certain slave girl possessed with a spirit of divination met us, who brought her masters much profit by fortune-telling. This girl followed Paul and us, and cried out, saying, “These men are the servants of the Most High God, who proclaim to us the way of salvation.” And this she did for many days.

But Paul, greatly annoyed, turned and said to the spirit, “I command you in the name of Jesus Christ to come out of her.” And he came out that very hour.”

It’s important for us to understand spiritual warfare and that it’s raging all around us today. It’s also important to understand how to handle spiritual warfare.

Wickedness is rising daily throughout our land and we have to walk in biblical discernment. Not being afraid of what people will think of us. For we seek to please God, rather than men.
John 4:24

I want to share this with you friend. This was a situation that came to close to home for me recently. If it can happen in my sweet conservative family friendly community, it can happen in yours too!

Let’s be honest. It wasn’t too long ago that most of us would have been absolutely horrified to hear of a man dressed in women’s clothes, stripping for dollar bills in a family oriented restaurant in the middle of town. Let alone, see families come out and support this perversion.

But is it any wonder that this is becoming increasingly more acceptable among people, as our culture embraces wickedness of all kinds, sexual immorality as normal, tolerance, lewd grace, and unfortunately, a distorted view of what God’s love is.

The American church of today has perverted and twisted scripture to such a degree, that we sit down and partake in sin among the sinners, yet make an argument that we are winning lost souls.

Not buying it for one second folks! Let’s be very clear. We would see more conversions if that were truly the case. If we were mission minded.

However, the wickedness has changed our culture and has permeated the church. Although, let’s be reminded there’s nothing new under the sun and this was also happening in Paul’s day as well.

Jesus and His disciples did not sway in anyway from scripture and the truth, in order to bring the message of salvation to sinners. That’s the difference.

As we grow closer to the second coming of Christ, scripture tells us that much tribulation is on its way and with much tribulation, will come more of a godless and wicked culture. #Truth

As believers in Jesus Christ we should love truth.
The definition of “loving people” is sharing truth with them.

Yet, I think it’s vital and necessary to draw attention to a certain scripture in Jude that The Lord had me study for a few years. It rattled me to my soul.

Jude 1: 20-25
I encourage you to read the Scriptures in full context to understand what Jude is trying to communicate to the believer.

Jude 1: 22-23
And on some have compassion, making a distinction. But others save with fear, pulling them out of the fire, hating even the garment defiled by the flesh.

Friends, if we really had the love of Christ on the inside of us, to watch someone perishing or walking in absolute wickedness, yet not say anything, is not having the true love of Christ dwelling in us.

For I am compelled to speak.
Jeremiah 20:9
His word is like a fire shut up in my bones.

We must occupy and walk with Holy Spirit boldness as Paul did. These are the days that we are living in.

On a personal note, let me be very vulnerable and share how heartbroken I was to see Christian families that wanted to support a local drag queen show at Filleys (a local restaurant in my hometown) a couple weeks ago.

This is the first time that I’ve spoken publicly about this on my page as to how many people wanted the drag show and were even willing to bring their small children.

I guess it comes as no surprise as our culture has started to embrace drag queens as entertainment and stripping as entertainment.

Even more devastating is that this type of entertainment has now been deemed as “family entertainment.”

Saints, we are in a cultural war for the souls of our children and the next generation. Make no mistake about it!

Are you compelled to speak up against wickedness in our culture?
